If your colour cartridge is very low or empty you can't just print using the Black one - which is really inconvenient! Apparently this is now a common feature or is it "ripoff" of the latest Inkjet printers.
Be careful about replacement cartridges. I bought a Print-Rite compatible Colour cartridge but when I installed it the half-full original black cartridge was not recognised.
